The Challenge and Integrated Solutions

The central challenge is managing the sheer scale and complexity of the civil works required for a 144-lot subdivision with lots ranging up to 8,000 sqm. This required a high degree of specialisation across multiple infrastructure assets.

  • Complex Infrastructure: We are constructing and installing specialised utility systems, including a water pumping station and a sewer pumping station, along with multiple stormwater detention basins and open drains.

  • Safety & Compliance: We are executing the entire scope while maintaining strict WHS and Quality Assurance standards across all civil elements.

  • Environmental Integration: The project includes extensive environmental works, landscaping, and fencing to integrate the development with the surrounding environment (as seen in the nearby Glossy Black Cockatoo Nature Reserve project).

  • Traffic & Access: We are managing traffic management for the project, including the installation of solar lights at the intersection of Blackbutt Road.

NextGen Civil is managing the phased construction to ensure efficient delivery of Stages 1 and 2, setting the foundation for the entire 144-lot development.

Outcomes and Long‑Term Achievements

This ongoing project is setting a new benchmark for large-lot residential development in the region, delivering critical utility infrastructure and high-quality, sustainable residential land.

  • Critical Infrastructure: Successfully delivering specialised, permanent infrastructure assets, including the water and sewer pumping stations, which will service the entire community.

  • Phased Project Success: Executing Stages 1 and 2 to date (valued at $4.7M) efficiently and compliantly, setting a reliable trajectory for the future 144-lot rollout.

  • Environmental Design: Integrating multiple stormwater detention basins and environmental works into the design to ensure sustainable water management for the entire development.

  • Community Asset: Building all internal roads and constructing the new, safe access intersection at Blackbutt Road for the community.
