The Challenge and Our Seamless Solution
The nine-year, phased building and civil construction project presented a significant challenge. It involved delivering multiple specialised facilities, including independent living units, a country club, and a nursing home, all while consistently upholding high‑quality standards. A particular consideration was working in close proximity to elderly residents throughout the project's duration.
NextGen Civil provided a cohesive solution, managing the entire scope of enabling infrastructure and associated workings:
Integrated Infrastructure: We executed the construction of all civil works and associated infrastructure required for the village.
Roads & Access: We built the internal road network, including road construction, kerb, and guttering.
Essential Utilities: We installed all underground utilities, including sewer, electrical, water, and stormwater systems to service the entire site.
Site Presentation: Our scope included landscaping and retaining walls, along with the construction of specific residential and associated building workings.
Outcomes and Achievements
The project's successful completion resulted in several positive outcomes:
Environmental Improvements: Enhanced the local environment through the construction of sympathetic and natural landscapes,
Community Satisfaction: Positive feedback received from the community, specifically commending the provision of an upscale retirement solution that offers more choices for retirees in the region.
Client Satisfaction: Successfully delivered all foundational civil and building requirements for the $48M facility, providing a compliant, high-quality base that allowed the client to move forward with the profitable sale and operation of the 150 independent living units and nursing home.
